A Legacy of Shetland Lace
A collection of 21 stunning projects designed by members of the Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers and Dyers. While some are strictly traditional others are modernised and the patterns featured have designs planned for all levels of skill and experience. The book features patterns from Shetland Lace icons Mary Kay, Hazel Tindall and Ina Irvine to name a few. All the patterns in the book can be knitted with our Shetland Supreme 1 and 2 ply worsted yarns which come in a range of five natural colours. Any patterns calling for 2ply can also use our 2ply Lace Weight Yarn which comes in twenty-five shades.
Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers and Dyers was formed in 1988. The patterns in this book have been donated by members. Members meet most months to provide/enjoy workshops, share knowledge and explore textile-related crafts. Guild members also demonstrate their skills when requested. Income from the sale of this book will be used by the Guild to continue to promote all aspects of traditional Shetland textile skills
