I use white and ecru a lot. But as for the thread itself..a good quality wool, like all pure wool they knit incredibly well. Feels a little rough if not used to knitting with pure wool but you very quickly get used to it. Shawls knitted from this wool are warm, soft and have wonderful drape. The material needs handwashing and dressing / blocking after but that is not too hard. I have used a lot of laceweight wool over the years and prefer this particular wool over any other.

I have previously knitted a Shetland shawl using lace weight yarn with no problems. This yarn is inconsistent in thickness and, although I am on only about a third of the way through making the shawl, the yarn has broken on two occasions. This is frustrating as the knitting has to be unpicked to the break, and the wool rejoined.
